Job Summary

We are searching for an experienced and talented Sr. Project/Analysis Engineer to join our design and product development team! This key position requires the engineer to be responsible for program management of assigned FEA and product development projects. This includes the ability to manage a contributing team, meet customer requirements, and complete project timing milestones. The successful candidate must possess a BS minimum in ME/EE/Chem/Metallurgy (MS preferred), 5+ years of related experience, and be a US Citizen due to Export Control requirements. The engineer should also demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills and be knowledgeable in manufacturing processes, materials selections, and product testing. Proficiency in COMSOL, Ansys, and/or the Altair family of products, as well as Mechanical Modeling and the Microsoft Office Suite, are required. The Sr. Project/Analysis Engineer must also have excellent leadership, written and verbal communication skills, and extensive technical knowledge in analysis and product development. This position will involve prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and being able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. The engineer will also be required to traverse the manufacturing facility occasionally. Project Responsibilities

  • Manage FEA projects and product development programs
  • Provide guidance and leadership for all FEA projects
  • Provide team training and mentoring as needed
  • DVP&R development and execution performing physical testing/validation of prototype and production parts
  • Follow production builds at customer installation, validation, and continuous improvement meetings on site
  • Writing papers and presentations on projects assigned for customer meetings, publication, and presentation at technical conferences
  • Reports ongoing resource needs to the Director of Engineering

Analysis Responsibilities

  • Generate 3D mesh models
  • Setup establish boundary conditions/constraints
  • Run FEA
  • Interpret FEA results
  • Revise design iterations based on results to meet performance requirements
  • Proficiency in COMSOL, Ansys, and/or the Altair family of products
  • Timely completion of projects
  • Provide timing estimates for new and existing projects
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Represent the company in meetings with customers, vendors, international conferences, seminars, and trade shows

Education, Experience, & Work Authorization

  • Candidate must have a BS or MS preferred (ME/EE/Chem/Metallurgy)
  • At least five (5) years of related experience is required
  • Due to Export Control requirements of our product family, candidates must be US Citizens
