During the IMAT 2020 conference, Fluxtrol, and ASM International, will recognize and award young scientists and academic researchers in the field of thermal processing.
Metro-Detroit, February 4, 2020 /BusinessWire/ - It is an honor to announce this year’s competition-based award and recognition program at the upcoming debut of ASM International’s IMAT 2020—the International Materials Applications & Technologies Conference and Exhibition in Cleveland, Ohio from September 14-17, 2020. IMAT 2020 will offer young innovative scientists/professionals and academic researchers the following two competition-based recognition programs.
1. Fluxtrol Student Research Award
For student research, we are soliciting abstract submissions based on thermal processing of metal/metal containing components.
To be eligible, students must be pursuing an undergraduate or post graduate degree at a University, Institute or College (University) or are within one year of graduation, but conducted the research while still enrolled at a University, having completed an aspect of thermal processing research. The submissions must be presented by the student, in person, during IMAT 2020.
Award winners will be announced at the end of the session and will receive the following prizes, courtesy of Fluxtrol: Cash prize - $2,500 for 1st, $1,000 for 2nd and $500 for 3rd place.

2. Prof. Valentin S. Nemkov Academic Research Award
Fluxtrol is pleased to continue its recognition program for Post-Doctoral Researchers, Lecturers and Professors (Academic Researchers). Candidates will be required to be present at IMAT 2020 and the winner will be announced at the event.
The winner will receive $2,500 that can be used to support research activity at the Academic Researcher’s Institution. The award can be used for travel expenses, conference fees, scholarship money, or laboratory equipment.
